The National Home Builders Registration Council resumed offering its full onsite service operations by reopening its customer walk-in centres at its main Provincial Offices as of Monday, 8th of June 2020 in line with the Level 3 Lockdown Regulations.
Offices that have reopened are Sunninghill, Pretoria, Cape Town, George, Durban, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, East London, Rustenburg, Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Mbombela. Our satellite offices in Tzaneen, Witbank, Bethlehem, Thulamela, Mafikeng, Klerksdorp and Newcastle will be phased in gradually.
In keeping with the pronounced Social Distancing, mitigatory steps against this pandemic and limiting overexposure, developers, contractors, home builders as well as housing consumers, who need to interact with the NHBRC are urged to only visit our offices when it is absolutely necessary; e.g. for the collection of certificates (i.e. registration and enrolment) and to complete technical assessments.
The NHBRC also has inspectors on standby to help home builders/contractors/developers fulfil the legal requirement by assuring the quality of their home building projects. All home builders/contractors/developers are reminded to inform the NHBRC in writing during the following stages of construction not less than 5 working days before reaching the below mandatory structure:
